The Chanie Kolodny Library
Membership:
At the moment we are not yet charging a membership fee, just a minimal one-off sign up fee of £3 per family when you join. The Library is currently funded mainly through personal donations from people like you who are grateful for the service we provide for the community. Therefore, your donations are greatly appreciated. You will see a pushka for this purpose on the table where you check out and return items. Any size donation will help us to provide you with a better service. Thank you.
Length of borrowing time:
Books can be borrowed for a period of two weeks and may be extended for two more weeks. Books may only be renewed once. Books need to be brought in to be renewed and cannot be renewed over the phone.
Amount of books:
A family may borrow up to 4 books at any one time.
Extra books:
A further 4 extra books for a small fee may be borrowed bringing the maximum amount of books to 8 per family at anyone time. (There is a 50p charge for each extra book borrowed).
Reserving Books: 
50p per book held for a period of 2 weeks. Limit of 4 books reserved per family.
Late Books:
50p per book per week late.
25p per late book returned midweek.
Lost and Damaged Books:
Books are being lent on trust. Books that have not been returned after 2 months will be charged at about £25 per unreturned book.
If books are returned damaged, an assessment will be made and remuneration will be required. For severely damaged books we will expect sufficient reimbursement to replace the book.
Patrons are responsible for the safe return of library materials. Any item that is damaged or lost while checked out is the responsibility of the individual who checked out that item.
